Making Video Games is an extremely fun learning experience.  You have ideas, dreams and stories fill your mind, and you want them to appear on a screen for the world to see!

There is a lot to discover. 

The tutorials section takes you quickly past the beginning of the learning curve with some programming basics. 

The code section offers source code so you can progressively learn to create games while actually seeing them in action and how it all fits together.  It's the quickest way to learn!

The career section offers a guide on how to become an indie:  making video games for a living!  There is a huge market for downloadable games.  Once you've learned how, you can be creating games for thousands of future fans to download and make a living doing it.  There's some ground work to do so it's best to do that while you are learning.  Part of the plan is to have your first freeware game done in under an hour so you can have something to keep people waiting while you work on your first shareware game.

The games section is where you can read about and download some of my games!  You'll create games of your own but it doesn't hurt to see a few examples.

A few more words on going pro.  This is what the career section is about.

Nothing you do online generates instant results.  A new website starts with no page rank, and no search engines know about them.

Search engine rankings depend on quite a few factors.  One of these is the number of links that point to them.  This is where the game creation package helps a lot.  You submit it to freeware sites, and each of these will generate a page that points to your site.  Free links!

The career course teaches you everything else you need to know to start a soon to be popular site and have it ready to sell, before you even learn to create games...  or finish them.

There's tons more to learn there like making better games, graphics, sound, music...  But it is important if you would like creating games to lead somewhere "professional" that you start the ground work as soon as possible.
